Position Summary
Green For All is seeking seasoned organizers with experience in moving policy campaigns and coalition building in the western, northeastern, midwestern, and southern regions of the United States.
The Regional Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing Green For All’s strategy in specific cities throughout the country towards Green For All’s mission of building an inclusive and strong green economy. The Regional Program Manager will work in close coordination with other programmatic areas of the organization and report to the Cities Initiative Director.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Cities Initiative Director and local anchor organizations to design a winning strategy in specific cities to build an inclusive green economy that lifts people out of poverty.
- Take a lead role in bottom-lining implementation in specific cities, integrating the city’s strategy with other programmatic areas of the organization, including education, business incubation, research, and policy components.
- Serve as a primary liaison between Green For All and local organizations and agencies in specific cities.
- Mobilize needed field support in specific cities behind federal advocacy needs of Green For All.
- Work with development staff, maintain relations with donors, contribute to proposals, and support fundraising efforts as needed.
- Other duties as needed.
Experience & Qualifications
- Strong commitment to social and economic justice and Green For All’s mission and organizational objectives.
- BA degree plus a minimum of 5 years experience moving policy campaigns and coalition building; knowledge of the green economy and green jobs a plus.
- Skilled at working effectively with a diversity of people and organizations
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work independently as well as on a team.
- Ability to work under ambiguity and in an environment of constant change.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle or manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
