Africa Norris is a senior at Elizabeth City State University, majoring in Geology. On her campus, she is very active in several organizations including the Community Relations Committee, Global Leadership Academy, the International Club, and she also serves as the dance captain of Allure Auxiliary Squad for the Sound of Class Band. This year she’s embarking on something new, by serving as Elizabeth City State University’s College Ambassador for Green For All. She is thrilled and excited to share her new and innovative ideas with Green For All with the ultimate goal to make others aware of the importance of sustainability and how to live a “green” lifestyle. Issues regarding sustainability are dear to her because they affect the function of our economy’s growth. Overall new sustainability practices – such as finding new ways to use less water – offer real solutions to help save our planet Earth. Ms. Norris urges her community to investigate what it means to be “green” and adopt sustainability practices in their everyday lives. Ms. Norris hails from Washington D.C. and is currently a resident of Norfolk, Virginia.
