Tomorrow: Join call to hear from green job training partnerships

Weatherize! is a unique partnership that is bringing job to low-income neighborhoods in Newark, NJ. They are also preparing to access Recovery Act money for green job training this month.

Tomorrow, hear representatives from Weatherize! on a Green For All conference call about building pathways out of poverty through green job training, partnerships, and recovery funding.

This month, the U.S. Department of Labor will begin accepting grant proposals to distribute $500 million towards green job training programs.

If you are involved in green workforce development and think your program might qualify for Recovery funds, please join this call:

Green Conference/Festival

We The Center for Education and Economic Development
(The C.E.E.D) are planning a two (2)day conference to educate people of modest means on the health risks involved with environmental factors which are causative. All participants so far are excited since this has not been presented in a platform for our people of color and diverse backgrounds simultaneously.
We desperately need a job training program in the particular are of interest that this conference will be held. The dates are Sept. 4 - 7, 2009.
Feedback on organizing, donations and any pertinent facts for ultimate success of this venture is welcome. Our action team will meet on Thursday, June 11, 2009, 7:00pm.
