Home energy retrofits are a quick and effective way to lower energy
bills, create jobs, and reduce carbon pollution in America's cities.
Well-designed programs have little or no upfront cost to homeowners,
pay for themselves through utility bill savings, and create good, green
jobs for community members who face barriers to employment.
Our Retrofitting America's Cities Conference Call will...
- Introduce the elements of a city-scale retrofit program
- Discuss how Recovery Act funds can be leveraged to fund these programs
- Highlight model programs from 2 cities
The Green For All Communities of Practice
are a new way to connect people who are working on programs and
policies to create green-collar jobs and green pathways out of
poverty.
Through conference calls, list serves, and in-person convenings,
members of a Community of Practice learn from each other, create new
knowledge, and then share out best practices, models, and resources.
Sign up for the Retrofit America's Cities Community of Practice and be linked to others who are developing city-scale energy retrofit programs.
Ladan Sobhani is the Program Manager at Green For All for the Community of Practice Program.
