In 3 weeks, we will make HISTORY with Power Shift 2009. It will be the biggest lobby day on climate and green jobs in U.S. history. And the biggest youth lobby day of any kind - ever.

In 3 weeks, we will make HISTORY with Power Shift 2009.

It will be the biggest lobby day on climate and green jobs in U.S. history. And the biggest youth lobby day of any kind - ever.

We're rolling deep -10,000 strong. Ten thousand. That's 100 youth in each Senate office.

Young people and people of color voted in record numbers. Now our elected leaders have to listen to us:

We want millions of green jobs and we want 'em NOW!

Can you come?

Three ways to participate:

1. Come to Power Shift 2009 - February 27th - March 2nd, in Washington, D.C.
When you register, be sure to select "Green 4 All" for the question "What coalition member-group are you most affiliated with?"

Contact [email protected] with questions about attending.

2. Sponsor a Young Organizer
Green For All needs to raise $20,000 to send 200 low-income youth to the conference. Can you give $25 to the Power Shift 2009 Scholarship Fund today?

3. Apply for a Scholarship
For community organizers, campus activists, hip hop artists, high school students, and other low-income young leaders of color who need financial support. Scholarship deadline: Next Friday, February 13th.

See you there!

Julia

P.S., You don't have to travel to D.C. to take action for green jobs. The Senate will vote on the economic recovery ANY DAY NOW. Tell your Senators to pass Obama's green recovery plan, and fund the Green Jobs Act at $500 million.

cleaning up the food chain

Posted by Michael Fessler at Feb 07, 2009 05:08 PM
The Food chain is contaminated with metals, mainly aluminum's in many forms.. The FDA and EPA allow manufactures the use of the many forms of aluminum into the the processing of fertilizers, medicines, processed foods, etc. Aluminum's are transitory metal that have no place in the human body. Aluminum's are found in breast cancers, and many other diseases. If we could eliminate the use of Alum salts and other aluminum's from the food chain, many lives could be save and new jobs could be created. Aluminum's are cheap fillers allowed and approved by the Government in food dyes and many other foods. Our bodies are accumulating Aluminum's at a staggering rate. Do you know how much? That's is an area of job creation. Mike Fessler 360 821-9063
