She is also a dedicated volunteer with the local laboratory school and the Community Relations Committee on her campus. Ms. Nance has a track record of organizing and fundraising around environmental, economic and social issues. While in high school, Ms. Nance served as an intern at the IFC-World Bank in the environmental and sustainability division. She successfully implemented a program that raised enough money to purchase 500,000 tap lights in Africa that allowed children to have access to light to complete their homework. As a third generation Green for All College Ambassador she plans to inform her fellow students on the ways they can “sustain and retain” together. With her academic knowledge in criminal justice and pre-law, Ms. Nance can inform the ECSU community as well as the Elizabeth City community on the importance of environmental justice and the benefits of being sustainable. Post graduation, Ms. Nance plans to attend Howard University for law school and work in the growing field of environmental justice. Ms. Nance is a native of Washington D.C.
