Denver, CO - DJ CAVEM MOETAVATION'S new project The Produce Section EP came out on Earth Day 2012. The album is focused on holistic health, promoting indigeneity and educating the low income community on sustainable resources, food security, natural living, and the importance of food, shelter and water through hip hop.
Ietef Vita, a.k.a. DJ CAVEM of MOETAVATION crew is a Green For All Class 4 Fellow straight out of the garden, representing the historic Five Points district of Denver, Colorado. He describes himself as an O.G.: Organic Gardener, "teachin' HIP HOP history and how to grow greens". He is the definition of HIP HOP - Higher Inner Peace, Helping Other People, an award winning activist, founder of the Brown Suga Youth Festival, B-Boy and Midwife. This Vegan chef is producing more than just beets, harvesting two albums: "Deep Rokc" and "The Teacher's Lounge", working with Dead Prez, Digable Planets, KRS-One, UMI, Oveous Maximus, Mike Chav, and Bun B, to name a few. In addition to his career in music he is also founder of the annual holistic health and hip hop youth event The Brown Suga Youth Festival where the Going Green Living Bling panel discussion started. This panel, focused on the the Redefinging of Wealth in Hip Hop Culture. Ietef has also taken this panel to various events, some including the Biennial of the Americas in Denver, CO, The Green Festival in Denver, CO and Washington, DC and the PowerShift Conference in Washington, DC. This panel has since transformed into a curriculum designed four years ago and taught every summer to youth ages 11 - 24. He is an O.G. (Organic Gardener), educator, innovator and overall advocate, actively working towards Food Justice and Green, Self-Sustaining, Healthy communities.
