Green Is The New Black Promotes An Economic and Sustainable Green World

The event consisted of a Green Opportunities Fair followed by a Networking Dinner. The fair placed great emphasis on the new Green Economy that now plays a major role in all business across the world.

In an effort to promote a greener environment, Green For All, Howard University, Refresh COAS Student Council, and Black Enterprise hosted Green is the New Black: A Symposium. The event consisted of a Green Opportunities Fair followed by a Networking Dinner. The fair placed great emphasis on the new Green Economy that now plays a major role in all business across the world.

Over 40 businesses and organizations were in attendance, offering jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities. Included in the fair were Volt Energy, Solsystems, Eco Coach, GWARDC, The Watershed Stewards Academy, The Organic Juice Bar-Market and many more.

"Green doesn't just mean saving polar bears," says junior biology major Brittany Stallworth, who serves as one of the Green for All Student Ambassadors at Howard. "The opportunities here today ranged from education to communications."
