Van Jones founded Green For All in 2008 and has not looked back. He passed the CEO torch off to Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins this April to join President Obama as Special Advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Jones is a NYT bestselling author, winner of numerous awards including a Reebok Human Rights Award, has been honored in TIME Magazine as one of 2008’s Environmental Heroes, and again in April of 2009 under their Top 100 Hero’s and Icons category.
The increase in green jobs is a national effort that will reduce global warming and oil dependence while simultaneously generating well-paid green-collar jobs, as well as safer, healthier communities.
