“Today is a day of remembrance and service, to honor the victims of 9-11” she said. “I lived in New York at the time and had friends that worked in New York City, but all of my friends who worked there are still with us today.”
According to a press release from the River City Community Development Corporation, the event is an effort to educate and mobilize low-income communities to ensure a voice and stake in the clean energy economy.
