The Economic Recovery Package
NEW: Conference Call: Grassroots Action toward a Green Recovery For All – March 25th.
NEW: Toolkit and Guide to the Recovery.
The Economic Recovery Package, signed by President Obama on February 17th 2009, injects close to a trillion dollars into the economy.
The package includes BILLIONS of dollars in funding for green job training, weatherization, and greener, more energy efficient infrastructure.
These green investments are critical to creating green jobs and are a vital down payment on a green-collar economy.
Now, our challenge is to BRING THE GREEN RECOVERY HOME.
Let's make sure our local officials direct those billions of dollars towards the communities, programs, and people that need them most and can use them best.

Green Jobs need Green Customers
For example, think of organizing to get the neighbors together to deploy renewable energy. It's cheaper for each and benefits more folks. Twenty households can get better terms and conditions, and in some areas even find companies to provide the equipment - installed by local workers of course -

Thanks to Van Jones and the Green for All team for doing this. Now it's up to each of us to make it successful.
