Questions about DOE funding for Retrofits

Posted by Ladan Sobhani at May 21. 2009

Below are some questions that people posed during the May 19 conference call that we couldn't get to on the call:

We are close to getting the City of San Diego to apply for the $250K in planning money…DOE guidelines allow for cities to apply for planning funds and take 4 months to develop an “energy efficiency and conservation strategy” before spending full allocation.  I didn’t hear that option mentioned to group.  - Nicole Capretz, Sustainable Energy and Clean Bay Environmental Health Coalition, National City, CA

As a non-profit focused on bringing together training partners in Wash, DC, to offer a vertically-integrated curriculum to train workers in weatherization work, is the EECBG program a tenable route to land funding? If not, are competitive disbursements from DOE a feasible avenue? - Will Byrne, The DC Project
