Dillard University
Dillard University is a private, historically black liberal arts college in New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 1869, it is affiliated with the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church.
Dillard University's mission is to produce graduates who excel, become world leaders, are broadly educated, culturally aware, and concerned with improving the human condition. Through a highly personalized and learning-centered approach, Dillard's students are able to meet the competitive demands of a diverse, global and technologically advanced society.
Asti Davis
Asti Davis is sophomore biology major at Dillard University. Recently, she has become very concern with saving and preserving the planet. As a Green For All College Ambassador, she plans to inform her fellow classmates on they can ensure that Dillard becomes a more eco-friendly campus. She is very proud of the energy efficient buildings on her campus, but she feels her school needs to enforce recycling by providing incentives to encourage students to separate their paper and plastic from her trash.
Michaela Miller
Michaela Miller is a native of Antioch, California. She is a sophomore nursing major at Dillard University. Currently, she serves as the treasurer for Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority. Michaela is a recent transplant to the New Orleans community however she is not naive to the joys of its culture and the disparities that are associated with the territory. She recently volunteered with a group of students from Tulane University on a research project to help rebuild different sections of Louisiana's coast.
