Howard University is a federally chartered, private, historically black University located in Washington, D.C., United States.

Falon Shackelford
Falon is the president of the Howard University Environmental Society, a university wide organization dedicated to increasing environmental consciousness. In addition to helping organizing student engagement in events, Falon has worked with various administrators and faculty to help demonstrate the need for an office dedicated specifically to sustainability on her campus. By working within various student government organizations and community group, Falon hopes to demonstrate the importance of environmental justice to her peers and these concepts as a means of empowering people of color to become part of the environmental movement. This fall, Falon will be working within elementary schools to help start recycling and sustainability programs and thus broaden the meaning of being green.
Brittany Stallworth
Brittany Stallworth is a native of Detroit, Michigan. Currently, She is a junior biology major at Howard University. She has been active in her community since the tender age of 14. In the past, Brittany worked at LA SED and helped to develop a mentoring program for young Hispanic women in Southwest Detroit. She also served as the lead volunteer at Hope Academy of Detroit Science and Math Mentoring Program during high school where she assisted students with Mathematics and Science.
