Morris Brown College
Morris Brown College (MBC) is a four-year, private, coed, liberal arts college located in the Vine City community of Atlanta, Georgia. It is a historically black college, affiliated with the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Morris Brown College was founded by former slaves affiliated with the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The school formally opened its doors on October 15, 1885, with 107 students and nine teachers. Morris Brown was the first educational institution in Georgia under sole African-American patronage. Morris Brown currently offers baccalaureate degrees in Management, Entrepreneurship and Technology (for traditional students) and Organizational Management and Leadership (for Adult Degree recipients).

Sherita McCormick is a Freshmen Nursing Major at Morris Brown College and a native of Detroit, Michigan. She is dedicated to helping Detroit get back on its feet by advocating for an inclusive green economy strong enough to bring manufacturing jobs back to America.
