Overview

In Denver, Green For All is working with local partners to implement and monitor a transit and transit-oriented development pilot program that can serve as a national model. Green For All is also supporting the implementation of local and state clean-energy programs that include job-quality standards.

Green For All is helping FRESC create a pilot for a transit and transit-oriented development program centered around redevelopment of Union Station, the Denver Metro hub for FasTracks. Green For All and FRESC are building a new coalition of local allies and convening national experts to share best practices in the transportation sector. Green For All and FRESC are also developing state and national legislation and policy that ensures transit equity.

Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency

Green For All and FRESC are partnering to support the creation and successful implementation of new renewable-energy and energy-efficiency programs that provide pathways out of poverty.

Local Partner

FRESC promotes the creation of jobs that pay family-sustaining wages with benefits, housing, and health care that are affordable to all families, and neighborhoods that are environmentally safe and sustainable. FRESC co-convenes the Colorado Apollo Alliance with the Colorado Environmental Coalition.

Green For All Programs

Green For All’s Communities of Practice facilitate innovation and sharing among on-the-ground practitioners throughout the country working on programs and policies to address climate change and create pathways out of poverty through green-collar jobs. Denver members of the Communities of Practice include Mile High Youth Corps.

The Green For All Academy trains leaders from low-income communities and communities of color to engage their communities in support of the clean-energy jobs agenda. Academy graduates become on-the-ground leaders in the movement to create an inclusive green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty. Green For All’s Academy Fellows in Denver have worked with BluBlak Media.
