Latesha Whisby is a senior at Savannah State University where she is studying Biology. Latesha has become more passionate about the environment after her internship with the Department of Energy. During the internship, She worked with wastewater treatment plants in Savannah, GA. She has also become very concerned with the upkeep of the creeks on campus after doing campus clean up and noticing all of the debris that the creeks have accumulated.

SSU Ambassadors Danielle Bailey and Latesha Whisby organized students to advocate for the development of a Sustainability Department at Savannah State.
