Brianna Ford
Brianna was a true pioneer in the HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) Green Movement. She influenced countless lives through her work, organizing workshops and recycling competitions, and speaking to groups of people around the country about sustainability. Brianna lived by the motto “Green Is the New Black.” She held a strong belief that we should all make healthier choices to sustain ourselves, our communities, and the planet that sustains all of us.
Brianna was a San Francisco native finishing her senior year at Clark Atlanta University where she studied Fine Arts with a concentration in General Studio.
Tragically, on Dec. 27, 2012, Brianna was killed in a car accident in Oakland.
