Energy Efficiency
In terms of cutting pollution and creating good jobs, energy efficiency is a workhorse. Upgrading homes and buildings to use energy efficiently improves performance and saves residents money on their energy bills, too. Work in the energy efficiency industry tends to pay well and create pathways into the middle class. Best of all, jobs upgrading homes and buildings can’t be outsourced to other countries. Investing in energy efficiency is one of the best ways we can breathe new life into America’s economy.
What We’re Doing
- Advancing the MPower model to deliver energy upgrades to apartment buildings and low-income housing stock.
- Leading our Retrofit America’s Cities Community of Practice, a peer-to-peer exchange that we use to identify and share innovations in order to build an energy efficiency sector that delivers good jobs and is accessible to those that need it most.
