Workforce Development
Tackling climate change will do more than protect our health and help us survive storms and disasters. It will make our communities stronger and more prosperous.
The steps we need to take—from forming climate resilience plans to investing in infrastructure and clean energy—all help expand the green economy. Our best solutions to climate change are also our best tools for creating job opportunities and pathways out of poverty for the folks on the front lines of climate change: Low income Americans and people of color.
What We’re Doing
- Calling for more investment in workforce development and job training
- Showcasing clean energy businesses, workers, and job training programs that are part of the solution.
- Promoting High Road Agreements that create opportunities for underrepresented workers into green jobs
